Choices are an award winning care provider of choice that provide care and support to people with a variety of needs through Staffordshire and Shropshire.

Limewood is our 59 bed, state of the art service that is dedicated to delivering care and support to people with dementia. We provide care for every stage of dementia to people of any age. Based near the center of Stafford town Limewood is situated close to public transport routes. We provide care and support 24hours per day over 7 days a week we are able to offer a variety of working hours and shift patterns to suit a variety of personal circumstances.

To further enhance the care and support that we deliver we are looking to recruit;

Support Workers

Various hours/shifts available (Days)

£8.00 Per Hour

Working within in one of our staff teams you will provide care and support to a “cluster” of about 8 Service Users. Each cluster has; an open plan living area, kitchen, dining room, a quiet room and an assisted bathroom. You will also work with Service Users as they utilise the other award facilities that we have which include The High Street. The High Street is a facility which has been designed to trigger memories of an individual’s younger years and has a pub, cinema, hairdressers and snug.

As a Support Worker at Limewood you will;

• Provide care and support as outlined in an individual’s Care Plan.

• As needed provide personal care to individuals as outlined in their Care Plan.

• Engage with Service Users in ways that promotes person centered care.

• Take part in activities that are engaging and help Service Users to reminisce.

• Possess good communication skills and the ability to talk to individuals in a way which promotes dignity and respect.

• Be trustworthy, reliable and be able to work alone.

• Be required to attend day time training and travel to Newcastle-under-Lyme to complete your Induction Training.

• Be flexible work shifts as per an agreed rota.
